For reading we have been reading a book named ¨Painting the town¨. This book was telling us what happened in 2011 in ChristChurch their was a masive earthquake that hit and people ost their houses family members and friends some people lost everything. After the horible things Artist from different places came and created murals and try and bring color back into the places.
After we have read the story we have created our own murals about our culture and my religion and where i live. I found this very exciting to make because it shows what cultrals that I am.
This week for Reading I have created a book named ¨Wings In The Wind¨ We have made this story with Gem what i found intersting was that Gem can make a really good stories. What i found a bit hard was reading the story because i had to swap reading with my buddy.
At tech we have been coding Little robots named M-Bots what i like about this class is that Mrs Geng has a dog that roams around class and when we get a break we would play with this dog. What I found a bit challenging was finding out what order the code goes in because we have to try an find the order it goes in.
LI:To Structure and Write an Narritive
I used a Gemini Gem to help us add detail to a narrative. Our Gem asked us questions that made us think of different ways we could add detail and description to our narrative. When I finished I used the Storybook feature in Gemini to create an illustrated version. This was a bit harder to do because I had to keep adjusting the prompts to get as close to my original narrative as I could To the Story.Something we found interesting was that Gem Can make books you can listen to instead of reading them.
This week for inquiry we were learning to do promts that will copy the exact image. Me and my friend Angelo have created an Presitation of what out prompt was and what the image that was create. My first prompt was “Create an image of a leopard on a tree branch in the jungle coloured water art.”. This activity was very cool to do.

We have used colouring pencils to create this Art. this helped me learn to work with people I didn’t really know being a leader is when you listen, share ideas, collaborating, Helping others. Something I learnt from this is that working together gives more progress with learning .
For reading we were reading about Johhny Pohe and the great escape. Johnny Pohe was the first maori piolet to join (RNZAF) who was an instructor and fought in wars, One day Johhny Pohe was caught by the German soilders and was sent to Stalag Luft III in Germany. he grouped up with 76 different men including him made 3 tunnels to escape Stalag Luft III they all have made up a plan to dig 3 tunnels the names of the tunnels was called Tom,Dick and Harry. The tunnels Tom and Dick was found and exploded and left luckily the German soilders never found harry they have waited for an Moonless night to happen.
As soon as it hit the Moonless night they headed towards Hut 104. 200 people was supposed to be their because of an issue only 76 people made it out 73 of the men including Johhny Pohe. Adolf Hittler has ordered his guards for the people to be executed in pairs. This story was very intersting to read because of how Johhny Pohe was the very first Maori piolet to have controll of an plane.
